Ski Doo Spindles
We used the AXYS RMK as our benchmark to improve the snow mobility of the Ski Doo Gen 4. We matched the ground clearance and tunnel angles for improved deep snow performance.
This spindle raises the front of the snowmobile to get it further out of the snow to reduce drag, while also giving it a more nimble feeling. We also widened them 0.5 inches per side to make the snowmobile more predictable and stable while reducing the “paneling out” effect that causes these sleds to wash out in steep, technical terrain.
This taller spindle uses our Ski Bolt Back Geometry that improves handling by putting the ski bolt in line with the upper and lower a-arms. This reduces negative feedback to the handlebars when encountering bumps or old tracks while in a sidehill.
Please note that this spindle is designed to fit with all other stock components (shocks, suspension arms) but you will have to adjust/tune your suspension to your individual needs after adding these spindles.
SUSPENSION SETUP
While suspension setups will vary depending on your specific application, we have found a good baseline for machines with a stock rear suspension is letting the limiter strap out to the next looser setting and adding about 1/2-3/4” of preload to the front track shock. In some cases adding tension to the rear torsion spring may also be required. If you have any questions regarding suspension setup or you are not running a factory rear suspension please call the shop.
It is recommended to use both the Zmotion and T-motion lockout with this product for proper performance.
